Prayer flags are usually placed outside, (when placed inside they tend to increase the spiritual vibration of the area) with time, the wind and the sun will erase the message as it reminds us of the impermanence of life. Life moves on, so do the flags! Please treat with respect.
Prayer Flags originated in Tibet thousands of years ago, they carried hand-printed messages and prayers written in Sanskrit. They were hung outside where the wind could easily carry the message written on the flag. With the time, the wind and the sun will erase the message as it reminds us of the impermanence of life. Life moves on, so do the flags! Our prayer flags are hand printed on high quality 100% cotton fabric. Prayer flags are usually placed outside, when placed inside they tend to increase the spiritual vibration of the place. Sets of five color flags should be in the order: blue (space), white (air), red (fire), green (water), yellow (earth). Please treat with respect.
These cotton prayer flags are made in Nepal, they are 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches and the full length of them strung together are 42 inches. There are 8 Flaps on the cord (one for each of the 8 auspicious symbols of Buddhism).
