Magic 101 - Use of Seashells in Magic |
We are asked, what is Palo Santo. Palo Santo is a tree, that grows in coastal areas of South America, from Peru to southern Mexico.. The tree is related to Copal. Myrrh and Frankincense. The name of the tree in Spanish literally means ‘Holy Wood’. The Scent of Palo Santo is citrusy, with notes of pine, mint, and lemon. Palo Santo is used in south America in much the same way white sage is used in North America. Often use is traced back to the Inca’s who used it for medical and ceremonial rites. |
The use of Palo Santo is said to enhance creativity and bring good fortune.
As a side benefit, the smoke drives away mosquitoes and other flying insects.
On the healing side, Palo Santo is used for relieving common colds, Flu Symptoms, Asthma, depression and other ailments. The wood is great for calming the immune system for faster recovery of illness. We hope you consider using this great resource in your daily life and in aid of others. Have a spiritual day..
